Coach Job Description
The Player Project is continuously seeking motivated youth soccer coaches and goalkeeper coaches to add to our team of trainers and coaches "to go, serve, and love through sport."
Coaching for The Player Project typically consists of team trainings, camps, clinics, individual and small group training, and outreach throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

Coaching and/or playing experience is expected. However, we're looking more for your quality as a person, your passion for the game, desire to develop as a coach, love for helping and giving back to others, as well as a growth-mindset. Our coaching positions are great for former players who are looking to get into coaching or looking for side coaching work. Many of our coaches stay with us because our work is rewarding and stimulating, but we also help coaches develop to work at higher levels if desired.

Below is our coaching pathway. We will pay for your coaching education along your path with us.

If interested in coaching with us, you must attend and complete our "Youth Technical Skills & Team Training" Diploma and/or "Youth Goalkeeping" Diploma. Both consist of in-person classroom and on-field learning on a Saturday from 9a-5p. We run these diplomas every 3 months (December, March, June, & August).
Please register for our next diploma to start your application process. Information on our diplomas can be found here: Coaching education

A benefit to working as a coach with us is the ability to coach teams, develop quality relationships with the players, head coaches, and parents, but you do not have a commitment to games and travel on the weekend. We will also promote you on our website for Individual trainings around your schedule and at a location that is convenient for you.

We also offer free clinics and camps through our Foundation to youth in the Greater Philadelphia area, which will also be an opportunity for you to coach and give back to others. (https://www.playerproject.org/foundation)
